A sensitive image database has been a live service since 2014. Version 7 of the software was deployed in 2023. Over the next 5 years, a Transformation Programme aims to expand the database in line with policing priorities and provide new capabilities such as automated tools to examine and categorise large volumes of images and videos and new AI capabilities to help investigators safeguard victims.

Claritas build and manage the database’s technical environment which includes looking to the future and the next stage of development and the ongoing operation of the system.

During 2023 we have successfully delivered in excess of 20 projects that have brought in new technology, enhanced the existing platform to enable the database’s onward success.
