We hosted the first of hopefully many Claritas Quiz Nights!! Pizza pizza pizza, fantastic questions, raffle prizes and the biggest challenge of all… creating a pal for our Richard the Giraffe!
Our Quiz Master Pete was the best host! Donning his sparkly waistcoat and flashy bow tie, Pete means business or as some would say (albeit not many)… quizness!
We raised a total of £234 for our quiz night! A fantastic night with lots of laughs! We’re looking forward to the next one and raising EVEN MORE money!
We did Strictly – 1 April 2023 – Kat & Greg made the perfect couple!
Kat told us when they found out what songs they were dancing to! She said:
The theme this year is through the ages, there is a fantastic selection of songs from the 50s right through to current day. Jean and Andy, the dance teachers have done an amazing job sourcing and allocating the songs to the couples. We’re very happy with our songs, one actually is from one of my favourite musicals! It all feels very real now! We’re so excited for show night, it’s going to be a really wonderful evening!
This brings our total raised for Martin House so far to date…. £1821!! Help support a fantastic cause – Find out more here
Wait – there is more to come!!
The Dragon Boat Race – Sunday 25 June 2023
So the ‘Claritas Castaways’ are now fully formed and starting the very serious rowing training programme!
The race takes place over one day and each team will take part in a minimum of three races before the fastest team goes through to the semi-final. The boat and life jackets are provided. Each boat needs between 8 to 10 paddlers and a drummer to keep the rhythm. As well as the main action taking place on the lake there will be refreshments and a range of activities available throughout the day for the whole family. We have also entered the tug of war so the challenge is on!!

The Claritas Climbers are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on the 10th June!
We have 7 climbers who will take on the 24-mile trek which starts in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. They’ll begin their journey hiking up Pen-y-ghent, then ascend Whernside, and finally tackle the short scramble up Ingleborough. All to be completed within 12 hours! They better pack plenty of snacks!
This challenge is self-led, however, we will be provided with direction on where to walk and there will be a team of experienced mountain guides from Over Limits on hand along the route to provide assistance and check we’re staying on course!
